I quit BEA
Effective today, I have quit BEA and accepted a position at Google. In case you worry, this new role is not going to alter my interest in J2EE and related technologies, nor will it dramatically impact my blogging, so I am definitively planning on staying involved with the community.
Here's to a new beginning!

man what the heck is going on over at BEA? It seems like there is a mass scramble to get out...next thing you know there is going to be an announcement that they are being bought out by oracle or something.
What a shocker! But hey, joining Google right now is a great move. What will you be doing at Google?
Wow; more defections to Google. Gotta admit I'm curious what Google's up to with all these Java types.
Sounds like a great company to work for, from what I've heard. Hope you enjoy, and congratz.
Congrats Cedric, and best of luck on your new job.
Hi Cedric and congratulations. This is great news for you. Sounds like Google is getting really serious about Java/J2EE, which is great news for all of us. Let's get that Blogger rewrite deployed under WebLogic and working again :)
Congrats!! share what you can about your new assignment
Congrats. Will Google now also offer J2EE Servers? :-)

Hey man! Where the hell is your fate gone?
Toutes mes felicitations.
I already feel a void.
Let's hope that you guys are going to come up with something very cool....
From Adam Bosworth's weblog, I guess that you are going to work on the next generation of web client, make it simpler, easier to deal with and to use ... (Adam's KISS principle), .. do not forget the Mac :-)
What's going to happen to TestNG?
The EJB 3 expert group?
Congratulations. I am wondering what will happen to Java after 9 years of existence.
Congrats ... i fear Bea will be sold ....
Can't wait to see what Google plans to do in the Java Space! Show me something cool :)

Congrats Cedric. It looks like BEA will get bought (look at their stock price), or at least it looks like they're in trouble. Especially if they lose a guy of your caliber. :-)
Like others said, share as much as you can about your Google experience and environment. I've been hearing that the environement there is quite nice.
Félicitations pour cette nouvelle, et pour tout le reste de ton oeuvre ! Tu seras toujours mon gourou !!!
Congratulations Cedric. I'm sure you'll have fun.
