I remember reading Joe Celko’s “SQL for Smarties: Advanced SQL Programming” back in 1999 – IMHO must read for anyone dealing with reational databases. Myself I started with Date’s “Guide to DB2″ dated ’88
I second / third the recommendation for “SQL for Smarties”… Excellent book.
I recommended it to our very good Oracle DBA a few months ago, and even he was impressed.
